Thanks to Phone2me software (Secret Call patent), any user can set his mobile phone so that it recognizes the owner’s SIM when inserted. This procedure makes sure that a match occurs between the SIM and one of the 3 telephone numbers the owner has previously associated the mobile phone to.

How it works

In case you lose your mobile or someone steals it, and an unknown SIM is inserted into the phone, you will receive an sms on the 3 phone numbers previously associated to the SIM. The owner therefore knows the phone number of the unknown SIM and can warn the “new” user. In this case, the rightful owner has important information he can hand over to the authorities. This part of the procedure works in secrecy, and the “new” owner does not realize that he has been detected.
At the same time, Phone2me warns the person who has found or stolen the mobile phone by means of a message displayed on the screen that reads:
“This mobile phone belongs to __________. Please return to the rightful owner, by contacting ____________ (telephone number), or by mailing the mobile to ______________ (name and address). Thank you for your collaboration.”
